Wow, 116 Proposals!

dear Violists near and far,

we are overwhelmed – both mentally and emotionally – by your enthusiastic response to our Call for Proposals! We received …

– that’s right: 116 proposals! – which we have accepted for consideration … constituting almost 3 times the amount of contents that we can possibly program for the congress!

Some fun statistics:

  • Proposals were received from 28 different countries (main presenter’s nationality).
    The Top-5 proposal nationalities:
    1. USA (28)
    2. Italy (14)
    3. Poland (11)
    3. The Netherlands (11)
    5. Canada (9)
  • Breakdown per Presentation Type:
    65 Recitals
    23 Lecture-Recitals
    11 Lectures
    7 Workshops
    10 Masterclasses

The Programme Committee has got a hell of a job in the coming week. We hope to be able to make a definite selection and notify all selected presenters by January 15th still!


Call for Proposals Deadline Extended!

dear all,

having reviewed our planning, we have decided to extend the deadline for the Call for Proposals deadline until December 31st, 2017 at 24:00h CET (Rotterdam time).
We hope this will allow some more of you to prepare and submit proposals in the relative calm of the Christmas week.
